Clare Summerskill will be running an exciting one day creative writing workshop which explores autobiography that focuses entirely on stories from Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer people. Clare Summerskill is a playwright,  singer-songwriter, a lesbian comedienne, and activist. Clare regularly performs her one-woman comedy shows and tours them to theatres internationally. She also has written and produced plays and films in the verbatim theatre style, in which the script is created entirely from interviews. Her published works include Hearing Voices, a play based on service users’ experiences of the mental health system, Rights of Passage, about LGBT asylum seekers in the UK, and Gateway to Heaven – Fifty Years of Lesbian and Gay Oral History. She has written for BBC Radio 4 comedy shows, including Heated Rollers and Weekending.
