Exhibition opening of Jonathan Cutbill’s bird photographs
FREE to attend. Jonathan, who died in 2019, was a founder of Gay’s the Word bookshop in London, foremost collector in Britain of books of LGBT relevance and supporter of Shrewsbury LGBT+ History Month. He was also a keen bird photographer.

About the Event
FREE to attend. In 1993 Jonathan retired and moved to Shropshire. He had a lifelong affection for the natural world, especially birds and took hundreds of beautiful photographs, a selection of which will be on display as part of 2020 History Month.
Come and enjoy the exhibition opening and the formal launch of LGBT+ History Month 2020, in Shrewsbury.
The exhibiton opening will be followed by The Jonathan Cutbill Memorial Lecture - a tribute presentation from Andrew Lumsden Gay Liberation Front (GLF) Activist and co-founder of Gay News and Justin Bengry, a leading cultural historian of sexualities and the queer past focusing on twentieth-century Britain.
