About the Event

A universal story of love, dignity and fighting for justice. Denied the legal right to be with her dying partner, following a tragic incident, Charlene Strong becomes a determined figure in the campaign for equal protection for gay couples, leaving a lasting legacy.

We are delighted to screen this film as part of our day focusing on LGBT+ activism.

For My Wife had its UK premiere at the Shropshire Rainbow Film Festival in 2010 and, by reconnecting with Director David Rothmiller in 2021, we are able to bring you an exclusive update on what happened after the film and where Charlene is now.

In conversation via Zoom, from David in Mexico and Charlene in Washington!
