About the Event

2020 marked the 50th anniversary of the start of the GLF in London and the first LGBTQ+ demonstration in Britain. After five decades of protest, the GLF veterans did not let Covid 19 stop them from celebrating these milestones.

Dan talks to us live on zoom about his book United Queerdom, which documents the riotous history of the Gay Liberation Front, and its legacy for LGBT+ culture today.

Dan Glass, is an award-winning activist, mentor, performer and writer, who first came to wider prominence in 2008 when he superglued himself to Gordon Brown in a protest against the Government’s inaction on climate change. Since then, he has become a key player in protest movements and social activism around the world.
